Sorry I haven't posted anything lately but I have been so busy chasing after Reed. It is official my son can now walk. It all started on July 5th. We had a bunch of friends over for a cookout to celebrate the 4th. Our friends Kevin and Maryanna brought their little boy Miller, who is about 20 months old. Now everyone who has seen my child knows that he is big for his age. He is about the same size as Miller, just a little bit shorter. When they got to our house the first thing that Reed noticed was that Miller was walking. Reed had already taken up to 8 steps on his own but was being lazy and continued to crawl because he knew that he could go faster. Ever since he saw his friend walking he has been all over the place. I bought him some shoes a couple of weeks ago that squeek when he walks to encourage him to keep walking. I also bought him a monkey stuffed animal that attaches to him like a book bag and its tail is a leash. I know that a lot of people think this is cruel putting your child on a leash as if he were an animal, but whoever came up with this idea is a genius. Because now I don't have to worry about letting him walk around in public and just taking off. I tried taking some video of him walking but he keeps acting shy. Hopefully I will get a video up before the end of the week. And I promise that I will post more often and not wait a month before my next post.
