Visit from Grandma

This weekend Graham's mom came to visit. Reed had tons of fun playing with his grandma. He also received his Christmas present from her. He got a new climbing structure to play on outside. Of course right now he is having more fun playing with the box it came in.

The Little Gym

For a month now I have been taking Reed to a place on Woodruff rd. called the Little Gym. It is a place you can take kids of all ages. For the small kids they offer classes that teach them all kinds of skills. So far we have gotten to play with hula-hoops, one of the little parachutes, balls, bubbles, and scarfs. The skills he has learned so far includes walking on the balance beam, rolling forward, and jumping. But Reed's favorite part of the class is free time where he gets to go and play on the equipment that they have there. We also get to sing songs.

Doggy Update

It has now been 2 weeks since Sebastian got hurt and he is finally getting better. He is still to stay in his crate for another 2-3 weeks. He has his old personality back and he is wanting to play again. I will be happy when he is 100% better.

Hurt Doggy!

On Friday I took Sebastian to Doggy day camp at Petsmart because we were having our carpets cleaned. He had never done the day camp before so I was a little scared to have him in there with all those dogs. When we picked him up Friday evening they said he had done well and that he mainly just watched all the other dogs play. When we got to the car Graham kept trying to pick him up to put him in his crate but ever time he touch him he would yelp. Then the next morning he stepped out of his crate and wouldn't go any further. We immediately knew something was wrong. We took him to the vet and found out that he has injured his back. The vet put him on strict bed rest for a week and he is on 3 different medications. So no more day camp for Sebastian.

Snow Day!

For those of you who don't live in SC on Sunday night we finally got snow. It started snowing at our house about 4:00 p.m. and stopped at about midnight. We discovered that it had started to snow when all of a sudden we heard Reed say OH NO!
Reed sat by the back door for hours just watching the snow come down. At about 7:00 p.m. we took him out to play in the snow. At first he didn't know what to think about it. Then he started walking around the deck periodically stopping to stick his hand down into the snow. The next morning we took him into the front yard and pulled him around on the sled that I used to use when I was a kid. Then later that afternoon we all went into the backyard and made a snowman. Now that Reed knows what snow is he loves it! Every time we had to bring him in he would throw a fit because he wanted to stay outside. Oh yeah! Reed also learned a new word. SNOW!
