Big Boy Bed

Last Friday Reed and I went over to my sister's house so he could play with his cousins. I ended up staying there for a while to help her out with some things. During that time Reed needed to lay down and take a nap but I forgot his pack-n-play. Brandy's youngest son Zach is still sleeping in a toddler bed so I decided to see if Reed would take his nap there. We had to put him back in the bed a couple of times but he eventually fell asleep. When we got home that evening I told Graham that there was no sense in putting him back into his crib to sleep so we took the side off of his crib. We put up a bed rail so he wouldn't fall out of the bed, but he can still get out of the bed by himself. At first I was kind of sad because he is getting older but at the same time I was happy.

Reed's play areas

Now that Reed is getting older he is a lot more active which also means he gets into more stuff. A couple months back we had decided to build a sun room onto the back of the house. Unfortunately the banks have gotten a little strict about loans. So we decided to turn the dining room into Reed's new playroom.

Now that it is warmer Reed has been playing outside more so we decided it was finally time to designate a part of the backyard as his area. Instead of wood mulch we put down rubber mulch because it is so much softer.

Georgia Aquarium

A couple of weekends ago we took Reed down to the Georgia Aquarium. Even though it was extremely crowded Reed had a blast looking at all the different fish.

Easter

This year for Easter Reed was able to participate in coloring eggs. Of course all he wanted to do was dip his hands in the dye but that's ok we still had fun. On Easter morning after Reed got his Easter basket he had his first Easter egg hunt. We were very surprised how quickly he learned what to do.
